Certified SAFe® Practitioner

In this two-day course, you will learn the theoretical and practical basics of the Scaled Agile Framework®. With the subsequent SAFe® Practitioner certification, you will acquire a qualification that will help you lead your company to success in an ever-changing market environment. You will learn how to use Agile Release Trains to deliver value to your customers and what it means to take on a decisive leadership role in a Lean-Agile transformation at the enterprise level.

Participants discover the role of SAFe® Practitioner and learn how to use Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Programming (XP) to effectively execute a Program Increment. You will also learn how to write stories and cut features, plan and execute iterations, and plan a PI. Finally, you will learn more about the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture and how you can integrate with other teams in the program to effectively and continuously improve your train.

Development goals

Gain an initial insight into the mindset associated with Lean and Agile and learn the reasons for their effectiveness in today's ever-changing market environment. After this course, you will understand how to apply the SAFe framework to scale Lean and Agile development in your organization. This includes:

Training content

  • You know the team and its role in the Agile Release Train
  • You know the other teams in the train, their roles, and the dependencies between the teams
  • You know how to plan iterations
  • You know how to execute iterations and can communicate the business value
  • You discover how to work together with other teams in the train
  • You can plan program increments
  • You can apply SAFe® to scale lean and agile development in your company

Prerequisites and online test certification

  • The training is conducted in English, the documents are in English.
  • Experience in agile processes.
  • Certification as a Scrum Master or Product Owner is an advantage.

This training prepares you for a test so that you can obtain SAFe® Practitioner certification. Participants who pass the test receive:

  • A SAFe® Practitioner certificate (Certified SAFe Agilist)
  • 1 year membership as a SAFe® Practitioner
  • SAFe® Practitioner Branding Kit with the SA certificate badge
