Focus topic: Agile scaling?

Instead, you should apply the agile principles consistently and find your own way. We use this type of agile scaling when several teams are working on the same product or agility is to be applied to the entire company.

We have learned the following from various projects:

  • Every company is different and unique! Every company has its own unique business environment (employees, customers, products, etc.).
  • The scaling structure must take these circumstances into account appropriately and also reflect them.
  • Agility triggers a cultural change and should be accompanied as part of change management.
  • Agile development requires a cultural change towards openness, customer orientation and cooperation.
  • This cultural change cannot be imposed from above or brought about by a predetermined process.
  • Introducing agility is a complex task. Scaling agility is a complex task that cannot be planned in advance from start to finish.
  • Leadership. When scaling agility, leadership and its support are even more important than when introducing Scrum for a team or small project.

Our contribution to scaling

Companies that want to extend agility to multiple teams face a challenge:

They must set themselves up in such a way that they can deal well with the dependencies that exist between the teams. If they fail to do so, the individual agile units will not be able to learn and make decisions independently of each other.

In agile scaling, it is therefore important to first reduce these dependencies and then coordinate the remaining dependencies. In doing so, you come across obstacles that stem from the organizational structure and can improve the organization in the next step. In this way, you create space to further reduce the remaining dependencies and the circle begins anew. However, we do not provide you with a blueprint with instructions for the structure of your agile company. We will support you with a tried-and-tested procedure to tailor the new structure to your needs. We,

  • work with you to identify dependencies and obstacles in your company
  • help you coordinate and select the right people
  • jointly create tools and give advice to improve the organization
  • help you build agile teams in your company
  • provide you with experienced coaches who support you with a suitcase full of tools
